Making a cool blog design that will stand out from the crowd, with all the blogs existing right now is quite a serious challenge. Before a potential new reader can get to the content of you blog you have to catch his attention. That’s when a good design comes handy. Of course, some will recommend keeping the design to a minimum and focus on the content itself. Content was, is and will always be king, but in the fast moving world of the Internet you have to use any advantage you can acquire to keep your visitors on the website.

Here are a few great looking blogs we have discovered (and published on our web gallery) over time.

  1. Those are very nice layouts– I’m sure they are VERY easy to like. I definitely agree, having good content and a nice layout will go hand in hand. Designers just need to draw that line as sometimes they tend to go a little overboard, while unique, it sometimes becomes hard to navigate.

With that said I think it’s time for a redesign for me.

  2. These are some really nice designs and a great collection here. Having a nice blog design attracts people to it, as well as it being user friendly. As a designer myself I don’t go over board because if there is too much going on at once on a page it will put people off. You need to find a good balance to make it look nice but still attract people to it to keep them on the site.

  3. This is the reason why great design blogs get a bigger fan base and traffic. Spend some time reviewing your own blog design.

    Some great examples here!

  4. Hi, thanks for posting these. There are some great design ideas there and it’s really interesting to look at some of the commonalities in the ways the designers have adjusted ‘simple’ elements such as tabs and headers for visual effect. Nice work!

  5. They are some very nice designs. My wife has recently got into WordPress so I will bookmark and show her to give her some inspiration. Great collection!

  6. Fantastic! It is lists like this that make you wish you had more blogs! A very good list and very inspiring. I’m sure it will make many bloggers (prospective and existing) take a fresh look at blog designs and help them realize how much of a difference a good design really makes to a blog.

  7. All of these designs are perfect! I will look at each of these and take what I can from each of them. This list has inspired me to redesign my 2 year old blog!

  8. The design was great, I like the Kulturbanause template it’s kinda remind me of an anime or an online game world. I’m sure it will make many bloggers take a fresh look at blog designs and help them realize how much of a difference a good design really is. Is that for free downloads?
