Brand & Identity: Capturing a Photographer by DIA

Today’s brand & identity inspiration comes from New York based design and consulting studio, DIA. This showcase is for the personal brand of fashion photographer Greg Sorensen.

Like all things in the creative arts, Greg wanted a fresh take on his brand. He engaged the services of DIA to help him bring out his distinctive style that has made a mark on the New York industry for over a decade.

In DIA’s words, here’s what they did to elevate Greg’s brand while still acknowledging his work:

“We designed a restrained and flexible system that references the f-stop markers on a camera lens. The lines in the mark are set exponentially and create the illusion of dimensionality. The black and white palette shows off the photography in a confident and clean way. While the overall look may feel stark and minimal, the grid system is extremely complex. The mark is the foundation for each layout creating a unique and own-able look that ultimately frames Greg’s photography.”
