Adobe Acrobat Reader was first launched in 1993 for DOS, Windows 3.1 and Mac and thanks to US Internal Revenue Service who purchased the right to distribute 1.0 it has been distributed freely.
Some of the new features of Adobe Acrobat 8 are : a new fully customizable toolbar, the ability for Reader users to fill and submit forms, save data and digitally sign documents. We also point that Adobe Reader 8 uses graphics processing unit acceleration, which is said to improve display performance of large graphical PDF files.
