Featured Work: Smoke Shapes by Thomas Herbrich

Just like you four-eyed designers out there, I’m a sucker for details. This might seem dull to most, but sometimes the most insignificant things can sometimes be the most fascinating. And this is so true for today’s featured work.

Unlike most Photoshop junkies, photographer Thomas Herbrich spent 3 months taking more than a hundred thousand images of, yup, smoke. Thomas then sat down and sifted down to 20 images to make up the collection which he creatively calls “Smoke”.

The collection comprises of the most intricate smoke patterns that resembled something. Here are a few images from the entire collection.

As a side note, if you’re interested in producing some awesome  smoke patterns and don’t have 3 months to spare, check out our previous article Free Photoshop Smoke Brushes Pack
