Finger painting has previously been associated with tempera paint and messy classroom art projects, but Iris Scott has taken the technique to a new level. Wearing surgical gloves and finger painting with high grade oils, Iris achieves a whirlwind of woven paint smears squeezed straight from the tubes.
“One evening as Iris was midway through an oil painting she needed to clean brushes before moving onto bright yellow. Rather than leaving her cool room to clean brushes properly, Iris began applying the yellows with her fingertips.”
