Today’s featured work comes from a semi-anonymous artist who goes by the name, Mainger. Just when you thought hipsterism was dying, or dead, it strikes back.
Mainger is an illustrator of sorts, sketching up subjects from classic films, TV shows and retro video games. He brings back old school colors and style mixing them into modern pop culture.
From Forrest Gump to Game of Thrones to Pulp Fiction, the artist’s latest work is a series of hipster logos of popular movies and TV shows. Complete with crossed arrows, line drawing and hipster typography, Mainger adds in elements specific to each movie or TV show into his logos.
