Daily Inspiration: Google Calendar Header Design by Lotta Nieminen

Today’s daily inspiration comes from the mucho talented Lotta Nieminen of Brooklyn, New York. If you haven’t heard of this tiny company called Google, they’ve created this nifty little app called Google Calendar.

As a tool to help you manage time and ultimately your schedules, Google Calendar has been around since 2006, but the new redesign comes with a sleek, simple and clean interface that’s makes it even easier to keep track of your life.

Lotta has given us a year’s worth of header designs to drool over and more! Her illustrations are in the realm of Wes Anderson-ish tone and feel, while the pastel color palette makes each design warm and easy on the eyes. She’s utilised color coded blocks that are bright and vibrant, gorgeous typefaces that are also legible, wrapped in an improved calendar structure.
