Leyla Abdullayeva<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\u201cIf it ain\u2019t broke, don\u2019t fix it\u201d<\/em> was the general feedback when coffee giant Starbucks <\/strong>unveiled their new redesigned logo in January 2011, which incredibly dropped the \u2018Starbucks<\/strong>\u2019 and the \u2018coffee\u2019 type, focussing instead on the twin-tailed siren usually locked in the centre of the circular logo, but now enlarged and set free. Starbucks <\/strong>CEO Howard Shulz<\/strong> insisted the change was simply an \u201cevolutionary refinement of the logo<\/em>\u201d, but over 500 people left critical comments on the company blog. At the time of the change James Gregory<\/strong>, CEO of brand consulting firm Core Brand, stated, \u201cWhat\u2019s it going to be, the coffee formerly known as Starbucks?<\/em>\u201d Shulz explained that the growing range of Starbucks <\/strong>products not related to coffee meant the change was natural.
