Featured Work: Deconstructed Self-portraits by BlindSalida

I know about 5 people at the top of my head who have a shape fetish. Squares, circles, rectangles, you name it. Some of these folks have their entire arm tatted up with circles and geometry of all sizes. I guess that’s the in thing these days.

Our feature illustrator slash senior art director from the city of love, Paris is yet another with such a fetish. Yann, a frenchman who goes by the glamorous name BlindSalida, has a new body of art titled “Deconstructed Self-portraits”.

Today’s featured work is a series of four self-portraits, illustrated using Yann’s favorite shapes in a collage of fluids, explosions and cracked shapes. His latest artwork joins the many work he’s done for major brands like Sony, Orange, Mercedes, Nestea, Coca-Cola, Azzaro, and Honda.

Yann has worked with some of the top ad agencies in the world including Publicis, Havas, W+K, Saatchi&Saatchi, Leo Burnett, and Proximity BBDO.

10 years as senior art director, Yann has decided to focus his work on vector illustrations winning his first Cannes Bronze Lion with Publicis (Peru, Worldwide, Marcel) for Duracell.
